Company Description

With over 20 years of experience in the photography industry and specialising in Portraiture, Lifestyle and Fashion, Simon Murray offers his services to SMEs, Agencies or individuals throughout the UK. The studio is in the centre of Leeds.

Simon Murray was born in Perth, Scotland and through a love of photography that started many years ago, Simon has developed his passion into a style that evokes a sense of openness from his subjects.

People in front of his lens genuinely have a good time. In fact Simon calls it therapy. He's not sure if that's for him or the sitter.

His style allows freedom of movement and inspiration and Simon can be seen photographing a wide range of subjects, but mostly people, whether that be in fashion, music or the arts.

Simon has completed work for Armani, Vidal Sassoon, Xscape, The Scotsman Newspaper, BT, World Vision and Boss Models.

With an HND in Photography gained at Glasgow College of Building and Printing in 1990 and a Visual Communication Design Degree from Middlesex University, he achieved a First Degree on his BA Hons in 2001. Simon Murray Photography has worked with individuals throughout the UK, for small businesses, charities, artists and new-start-ups.

The company is managed by Simon Murray who has been focusing on the portrait and fashion photography disciplines for many years. Having previously worked for a large corporation, Simon Murray is experienced enough to manage the company.

What wonderful stuff!! We had Simon as our wedding photographer this summer and we would recommend him to anyone. His professionalism, good humour and creativity made it a pleasure to have him at our special day....not to mention of course the incredible photos he took...have a look here...

I worked with Simon on a celebrity photo shoot for one of my clients. Neither myself nor my client were used to dealing with celebrities and Simon was excellent both in the build up and on the day. He went over and above the level of expectation and produced a perfect set of pictures. I would recommend Simon to anyone in an instant. Either to other advertising agencies or for personal work Simon is friendly, professional and produces superb quality photos.

The photo shoot I had with Simon was excellent and good fun. The make-up artist and stylist he chose to work with where professional, yet they were comfortable to work with. Calm, pleasant environment. Then finished photos were great, perfect for my portfolio. Would recommend Simon Murray to anyone.

Simon created some fantastic profile shots for us to use on our website, taken in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at his studio. He was really flexible and we received the photographs extremely quickly. We look forward to working with him again to create our group shots!

Simon did a studio based photo-shoot for me last week and I was more than pleased with the results. It was my first photo-shoot and he really made me feel relaxed and at ease. He is very passionate about what he does and this comes through in the effort he puts into getting the right shot for you. He worked above and beyond what was expected, and even stayed later than expected to make sure we got all the shots I wanted. It was a fun shoot with a great outcome, and Simon is so lovely to work with. I would recommend him to anyone and have already booked in for another outdoor session. I booked Simon based on the quality of the work displayed on his website and got much more than I expected.
